- Passports: must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date for this trip.
- Visas: For Canadian citizens: Micronesia: Tourist visa not required for stays up to 30 days. Palau: Tourist visas issued upon arrival for 30 days. For US citizens: Micronesia: Tourist visa not required. Palau: Tourist visa not required for one year or less.
- Currency: Both Micronesia and Palau use the USD as their primary currency. Diving, live aboard and resort bills are payable by credit card.
- Electricity: In Micronesia and Palau, the power plugs and sockets are of type A and B. The standard voltage is 120 V and the standard frequency is 60 Hz. In the Philippines the power sockets are of type A, B and C. We recommend you to pack a 3 to 2 prong adapter in case type B sockets are not available. - Tipping: Micronesia: Visitors to the country are guests and hospitality is an honor in our culture. Tips are neither expected nor encouraged. Palau: Tipping is optional, but appreciated.

Here are the flights we are booking. Note that the return is for Feb 27, 2027. That is for those of us that are looking to stay an extra week in Palau (six days actually). For those of you who want to leave for home after the liveaboard, the next flight out of Palau departs Feb 22 0205hrs…that’s right 2:05AM.

Baggage Allowance
Please click here for the Baggage Allowance and Fees according to United Airlines (UA). In general, if flying solely on UA, economy tickets are allowed 1 bag at 23kg/50lbs; not to exceed a maximum dimension (length+width+height) of 62 in. (157 cm). For carry-on with most flights, each passenger is allowed one carry on (9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches (22 x 35 x 56 cm) including handles and wheels. In addition, you are allowed one personal item that should fit underneath the seat in front of you. Maximum dimensions are 9 x 10 x 17 inches (22 x 25 x 43 cm).
Important Notice: Each flight ticket has its own Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) policy. This Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) entitlement is valid only on that specific flight and may not necessarily apply to your connecting flights. Other carriers may require you to pay Excess Baggage Charge (EBC) if your Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) entitlement is lower on your connecting flights. Be sure to check with your flight booking agent what rules apply to your ticket.
